About Me
Your friendly local connection in Japan!

Who I Am
Hi, I'm Sara — born and raised in Kanagawa, Japan.
I started this service after creating and selling handmade obi tapestries. Through that work, I began talking with people from around the world and noticed that many visitors to Japan were struggling with things like making reservations or navigating local customs. Seeing their stress and disappointment made me want to help in a more personal way.
Professionally, I work in video production and run a small online shop. I'm especially good at video editing and… making pretty decent latte art!
I also worked in the food service industry for four years, so I’m used to noticing what people need and stepping in to help — sometimes even before they ask.
I may not be fluent in English, but I’ll always do my best to support you like a true friend in Japan.
Why I Do This
My goal is simple:
To be the kind of local friend I wish every traveler had in Japan.
I know that language barriers and unfamiliar systems can make even small things—like booking a restaurant or finding the right train—feel stressful. I’ve seen this firsthand through the people I’ve connected with from overseas, and I realized how valuable it can be to have someone local who genuinely cares.
This isn’t just a business to me — it’s a way to make travel feel warmer, easier, and a little more human.
Whether you're here for the first time or just need someone to ask a quick question, I want to be that person who helps you feel welcome and understood.

Fun Facts About Me
🍣 My favorite Japanese foods are gyutan (grilled beef tongue), sushi, and traditional sweet treats made with sweetened red beans — like zenzai and zunda mochi. I love the comforting mix of flavors and textures in these classic desserts!
🏯 My hometown is in Kanagawa, so I especially love showing people around Kamakura and Enoshima.
Kamakura is full of history, temples, and peaceful walking paths, while Enoshima offers ocean views, charming shops, and a relaxed island atmosphere — perfect for a short escape from the city.
✈️ Since connecting with people from around the world, I’ve started dreaming about traveling more outside of Japan. But I also enjoy discovering new things about my own country — and I’d love to explore Japan together with you, one adventure at a time.

A Message for You
Thank you for visiting my page.
If you're planning a trip to Japan — or are already here and feeling unsure about something — I want you to know that you're not alone.
Traveling in a new country can be exciting, but it can also come with unexpected stress.
Language differences, unfamiliar systems, and simple things like booking a restaurant or navigating public transport can feel overwhelming — especially when you're trying to enjoy your time.
That’s why I created this service: to be a friendly local presence who can support you in real time, from small questions to special requests.
Not as a professional guide or agency, but as someone who truly wants to help — like a friend you can count on while you're far from home.
If there's anything I can do to make your trip easier, more enjoyable, or just a little less confusing, I’ll be here.
Feel free to reach out anytime — I’m always happy to help in any way I can.
Let’s make your time in Japan warm, memorable, and full of good stories.
